Prashanth was at his friend's house when the storm struck the orrissa .Prashanth had to spend two nights in the open rooftop in the rain due to the flood. he survived by eating Coconuts from the tree that had fallen on the rooftop.however, the village people had to face the fury of the storm. they lost their homes and had to take shelter at the Red Cross shelter.

Prashant was at his friend's home when the storm struck orissa. He along with his friend's family took refuge on the rooftop of their house. they survived for the next few days by eating tender coconut from the coconut tree which fell on their houses. After two days Prashant equipped with a long, sturdy stick began to walk to his village. He would use the stick to check the shallow of the water. Sometimes he swim through the water. After some distance he found two friends of his uncle and the three joined to return to the village. Thus Prashant escaped the fate of the village during rain/ storm.
