As we know Indian people before the rise of national movement were fragmented and isolated due to communication gap or lack of transportation. In this regard print media played an important role in connecting them under one roof. We see most Indian newspapers were started in India by freedom fighters. Through these news papers they communicated their political ideas. In villages a single person used to read newspaper and all the villagers were listening him. Through these newspapers people began to become politically active and came to know that they face common problems caused by British policies. They came to know that they all are victims of British oppression and occupation. So they began to unite and ultimately fought against the British raj.
