Hi,
Your answer :
Florent: This book aims to show how the Bible positively influenced our way of living and thinking, as well as our values in the West. At a time when the Bible, and religions in general, are being decried, it was interesting to show some of its good contributions to our world.
Some time ago, I came across a book by the Indian philosopher Vishal Mangalwadi (The Book That Made Your World), which shows the positive impact of the Bible on Western civilization, its conception of the family, its notion of human dignity. I wondered if our society was conscious of it myself and asked several experts in their field what we could say about it today. The peculiarity of this book is to offer very different looks on the Bible, since everyone is interested in a particular area, depending on what he knows best.
So many popular expressions come from the Bible without people knowing their origin. It shows how much our way of thinking is imbued with the texts of the Bible.
Good bye ;)
