Prospero and Miranda are the fictional characters of William’s Shakespeare play “The Tempest”, who were kicked out by Prospero’s Brother Antonio who took over Naples after he turned the people on Prospero.

 He put them on a sinking boat to die, but Gonzalo a trusted advisor to King Alonso of Naples took pity on them and gave Prospero the necessities to survive.

Eventually, Prospero and Miranda came to live on the island.

Answer: Prospero was dethroned by his brother as a Duke and they were left on a small boat in the sea. Then one of his friend gave him his magical books. Then Propero found an island which was spelled by the witch. There they found a small cave where they started living.
