How did rag pickers acquire the proportion of fine art for saheb and his friend. Explain.

According to this story, Sahib and his family were poor.They migrate from Bangladesh to Seemapuri in 1971 ,due to the Storm that destroyed their fields. But in Seemapuri though they were rag pickers they can support their own family and going to bed without an aching stomach but in Dhaka their field give them no food. Therefore, rag picking has become the most important part of their lives. Rag picking to them means survival and garbage to them is gold. Thus,Saheb and all the children of his type has to support their own life from the very young age and becomes partner in survival and thus this has acquired the portion of fine art for Saheb and his family.
