How did rain affect lencho's crop

Answer:

Excess rain could damage crops by causing water logging which would lead to root rot. The crops could fall if fully grown and the downpour is very heavy. If it rains during flowering the flowers could fall due to the lashing of rain. Flowers could rot due to water.
