During the reformation movement people spoke out for they believed that the church had became too rich powerful and corrupt. In this time the reformers started regarding the Bible their supreme authority and not the Pope . Many voyages of discovery took place after this . in 1488 Bartolomew Dias reach the southernmost tip of Africa and name it the cape of good hope Vasco da Gama followed the same route and reached India in 1498 Christopher Columbus also set out to discover sea route to Asia but discovered the America's instead then Amerigo Vespucci also reached the Americas and Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese sailor and he was the first to sail around the world all this discoveries took place during the reformation moment .After the reformation movement took place the domestic system of production changed into the factory system of production all this changes a progress in Science and philosophy

hope it helps
