Percussionist Ron Forbes played an important role in Evelyn's life. Eventhough Evelyn was determined to live a normal life and pursue her intrest in music most of her teachers discouraged her. But he was the one who saw her potential and determination. He helped her feel the music and experience it rather than hear it. Tuning two drums into different notes he made her feel the vibrations which resulted in her realizing that she could feel it at different parts of her body. Through him she learnt to open her mind and body to sounds and vibrations. Thus, Ron Forbes had a great influence in Evelyn Glennie's life.
