               Description of woman by Saint Peter

   A legend of North-land is written by Phoebe Cary. It is a ballad poem and it is written in story form. It has 16 stanzas. It comprises of four lines. This is a story of North-land area. In this poem, legend means the area in the northernmost part of the place. The story is about saint peter. He was moving around the world and giving religious lectures to all.

   He had not eaten anything the entire Day and was feeling very weak. He reached a shop where a lady is baking cake, He told her to give a cake to eat. The lady was very greedy. She did not give a cake from her store. She baked new cake which is smaller than her store cake but she thinks it is bigger so how she gives to someone.

  Again, she baked new cake and same thing happen this time. She felt it is very big in size to give someone. So again, she eats the cake. She put all the cake into her kitchen shelf. She didn’t give the cake to saint peter. He became very angry. He cursed the lady to turned into a bird. He told she is very greedy. She didn’t deserve human form.
