salt Sathya graha was an effective tool because
(I)when Erwin the British official denied taking salt tax which made very hard to afford salt, therefore he marched and it was the rise of the Indian economy and broke the salt law

Since salt was a product which was consumed by every indian on daily basis,the british imposed high taxes on salt.

So mahatma gandhi used salt as a tool of protest against the british by encouraging the indians to not the salt instead produce their own salt
