How did samurai show their devotion to Amida Buddhism?

They used to say Amida ( The Buddha's name ) 70000 times a day. They later changed it to saying his name sincerely once a day, but they had to mean it.

It depends on the faith of the person like in any case, but some ways are to give alms to the poor to show God they know that other people suffer, and wash others feet. They pray five times a day, fast on Ramadan to suffer the agony that the poor and starving go through, and visit Mecca.. they get down on their knees 5 times a day and pray no matter where they are.
