she used to live in the kasturba hostel of rajasthan which faced the Aravalis. She once saw some mountaineers there and then she went to the hills and asked them shyly whether she can join them. They agreed and encouraged her to take climbing.

When Santosh went to her college, she used to watch people from her window and observed them moving up the lane and disappearing suddenly. One day her curiousness let her to a hiking group and they offered her to climb on the hill top along with them. That moment was life changing for her that she loved climbing mountains so much that she dedicated her life to mountains at an instance.

This event evoked the love and passion for climbing in her heart.
