Secularism got embedded into Indian constitution in the form of articles. These articles provide the framework for the law. Article 15(4) of the indian constitution prohibit the discrimination to be made on the basis of caste, creed, religion, gender, race , class, etc.
Our constitution had laid down many provision to stop discrimination based on caste and temple entry. For this the government has enacted the untouchability ( offense ) act in 1955.
