Shah Jahan was an exceptionally able man -- although less talented than his father Akbar and less meticulous than his son Aurangzeb.
Still, Shah Jahan was the first ranked Indian rulers.
Gifted with all the qualities mandatory for a medieval Muslim ruler, he was a brave and capable commander; a substantial master who took care of internal and external peace which was established by his father.
