The Second Afghan Empire was established by Sher Shah Suri after defeating the Mughal emperor Humayun in the Battle of Chausa and the Battle of Kanauj. He occupied the throne of Delhi in 1540 AD. After Humayun's defeat, he conquered Malwa, Rajputana, Multan, Sind and Punjab.
