when the Samudra Manthan happened lot of things came out of it like immortal liquid , Gold jewellery and so many things and with that only a lot of Venom and poison also came out of it and nobody was able to keep it somewhere then Lord Shiva came and he swallowed it and stop it in his throat so that it dosen't reaches inside him and because of this he is also known as the Neelkanth .
