when he saw a old man a sick man and a dead body ....then he realise the whole world is nothing.....and he attain enlightment in bodh gaya at the tree....

When Siddhartha saw an old man, an asetic and a dead man, curiousity about life grew in him and many questions arised in his mind. Finally he made up his mind to find answers to those questions and gain true knowledge of life. He set out in order to quiten his thirst of that knowledge and after many years, he gained enlightenment/nirvana.
