when an emperor died it was obvious that their was a succesion dispute betweenhis sons and was one of the major reason for the decline of the mughals to.whenhumayun felt ill all his sons broke out fighting for the throne even humayun hadnot died .it was to avoid such a costly battle that aurangzeb divided his empirebetween his sons but he was not succesful and all his sons fought and destroyedth strength of the empire
