During the early 18th century, when the British East India company took over the leadership from the Mughals ruling there for centuries. Bengal during the time of Siraj-ud-Dwala was flowing with master artisans who were passionate, overflowing with talent and the zest of doing work.
But as the British took over there was a momentary shift in powers and the hardworking artisans were enforced with a lot of taxes to pay which they were unable to and hence had to empty their villages and moved towards the cities.
