1 THE mughal emperor appointed the company as the Diwani of Bengal province in 1765

2. the assumption of DIWANI benifited east indian company very greatly : a) the company was allowed to use the vast revenues of bengal

b) these revenue were used to finance expenses ,to purchase cotton and silk textiles in india without bringing gold and siver from britain,to maintain army troops,to meet the cost of building the company fort anf offices at kolkata

a. It helped the Company to use the vast revenue resources of Bengal.

b. The East India Company started getting rich through trades.

c. Revenue from Bengal was used export goods from India.
