Answer:
The author portrayed his grandmother as a religious lady by mentioning different instances of her life in which she was lost in her prayers of the almighty . These instances are:
- grandmother used to sing-song her morning prayer while giving bath to author and helping him get ready for school .
- grandmother always went with author to school as it was attached to the temple . She used to sit in the temple reading scriptures .
- when author was going to abroad grandmother came to leave him at the railway station but she did not talk rather her lips moved in prayer , her mind lost in prayer. Her fingers were busy telling the beads of her rosary .
- When author came back then also she had no time for words , while she clasped author in her arms the author could hear her reciting her prayers
- When grandmother's end was near she had omitted to pray , she didn't wasted her time talking to others rather peacefully lay in bed praying and telling her beads of rosary.
Thus this shows that grandmother was a very religious lady whose lips constantly moved inaudible prayer and one hand always telling the beads of rosary .
