Balkans states were the one who tried to become nationalist at last. till then all the european countries have gained nationalism, and also the great powers had emerged. so, when these states were nationalist ,a big qurral bet themselves had started for land. now, the great powers had diverted their intrest towards this qurral. and then these great powers like prussia, great britain, russia etc had started a big qurral bet them selves for thes balkans states,as each great power helped one of the balkan state to emerge with more tand under them leading to the begning of first world war.

A. Balkans was a region of geographical and ethical variations comprising modern day Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro whose inhabitants were known as slaves.
