Major skirmishes occurred from July 1855 to January 1856, in places like Kahalgaon, Suri, Raghunathpur, and Munkatora. The revolt was eventually suppressed after Sidhu and Kanhu were killed in action. War elephants, supplied by the Nawab of Murshidabad, were used to demolish Santhal huts during the rebellion.

Answer:
The santhals attacked and killed moneylenders, traders, police and agent by the company, but the British suppressed the senthals rebellion very soon. The British government passed the Santhal Parganas Tenancy Act which tried to check the exploitation of the santhals.
