Civil disobedience movement was started on 13 March 1937.It is also called as salt March or Dandi March.The British people imposed tax on salt which was an item of daily use.Gandhiji fought to break the law.He started it from the sabarmati ashram with 78 members.Dandi was a small village which 385km from sabarmati ashram.It took 24 days to complete the March.Finally Gandhiji break the law by collecting salt from the sea.Hope u understand.......
