Mahatma Gandhi put up various demands in front of the british gov. One one most important demand was to cancel the salt tax.But because the demands of Gandhiji were rejected by the gov. he decided to launch a Salt Satyagraha all over India because salt is an important resourse in common people's food.Hence it was unjust to impose tax on salt.
* Features of civil disobedience movement...
1)All the movements,till now,were limited in urban areas.But this movement became nationwide.People from rural areas give there participation.
2)Many women take part in it.
3)This movement was complete non violence.But the british tried to suppress the movement.So people became fearless.
