the colonialism destroyed the indian crafts. this happened because of an unfair competition. In, britain, the goods were manufactured by machines and so were cheaper to produce. on the other hand the indian craftsmen made goods by hand. this costed more than the britain goods and thus more people were attracted towards the machine made goods rather than the handmade ones. so the indian craft industries were completely ruined
