"At the time of independence, partition was their ultimate goal of the Muslim league, prior to that they demanded certain perks from the constitution back then.
In the Nehru report, they wanted the following amendments –
• Reservation of seats for the Muslims in the Punjab and Bengal legislature in equal proportion to the Hindus and other communities.
• The Central Assembly will posses 1/3 representation of Muslims.
• They will have residual powers in the provinces. "
