Britishers set up cotton industries in britain. It led to a great loss to indian traders and cotton farmers as the britishers bought raw materials like cotton at a very low cost and sold it in britain at a very high cost and earned a great profit.

1)Indian textiles had to now compete with both British and Indian textiles now

2)British industry expanded which led to shrinkage of Indian industry and unemployment
