Answers
When the maharaja was not getting hundreath tiger to kill , he told the villagers that if he(maharaja) will not get the hundreath tiger he will increase the tax thrice. Listening this the dewan thought of a plan . He decided to bring a tiger from People's Park from Madras and hide it in his home. At the night when when the town slept dewan and his aged wife dragged the tiger to the car and shoved it into the seat. The dewan himself drove the car to the forest where Maharaja was hunting . When they reached the forest the tiger refused to get out of the car. The dewan was thoroughly exausted in his efforts to haul the beast out of the car and push it down to the car. On the next day after that night when maharaja went to the forest he saw that tiger and aimed it with boundless joy. The tiger felt in a crumpled heap. After killing the tiger when the maharaja left that place , the hunters went to take a closer look at the tiger . The tiger looked back at them (the hunters) and they realised that the tiger was not dead ; the bullet had missed it . It has fainted from the shock of the bullet . The hunter decided to kill the tiger because if maharaja came to know that he missed the bullet the hunters would lose their job . So they aimed the tiger from a distance maharaja d it.
In this way the dewan helped the maharaja in his mission.
