Answer: The Diwan was worried that if the hundredth tiger was not killed soon than the state will have to suffer more. He feared for his life also. So he arranged for a tiger. He brought an old tiger and took him in his car. He shoved him out in midst of a forest where he could be hunted by the maharaja so that the prophecy could be proved wrong and the Maharaja would look into the matters of the state.
