how did the doctor react when he encountered the snake

Doctor saw snake wriggled over the back of the chair and landed on the shoulder. He decided not to move to avoid any danger but he was mentally active. There was some pain in doctor's arm.

Answer: The docter was sitting very quietly without moving like a stone because he knew that the snake would attack him if he moves .but is mind was active.
