in the beginning the East India company has come to India only for the purpose of trade but it was only after after the 18th century onwards that they realised that the political conditions of the India is suitable for them and they find it as a great opportunity to have a imperial control over the country. after controlling the economy of the country they started to have control over the polity as well as the administration of the country.it was only after the 1858 that the government of India Act was passed and the company rule was turned into the Crown rule under which now the country was controlled by the Crown that is by the British India instead of the East india company
