The failure of the earlier plans of Muhammad bin Tughluq caused a great loss to the treasury. He ordered that the copper coins should be considered equal in value to the gold and silver ones. This experiment also failed because every goldsmith started minting fake coins at home.

1. Raising the taxes on Doab Muhammad raised Land text in Doab,a very fertile area to 50% of the produce at a time when the entire reason was in the grip of famine.

2. Transfer of capital from Delhi to Daulatabad– According to Muhammad Bin Tughlaq, it was difficult to control South India to Delhi, and it was equatty difficult to control South India to Delhi while sitting in Daulatabad. 3. Introduction of the token currency- Muhammad Bin Tughlaqintroduced the token currency of bronze coins to be used in place of silver coins called tanka. This experiment was, however a major failure.
