Sunil Gavaskar started playing with the help of his mother.His mother used to play with him daily match with a tennis ball in the small gallery of their house.She hold her patience even though she was hurt.His father gave him valuable advice from time to time enabling him to become a good cricketer.His uncle taught him that one has to sweat and earn Indian colours as there is no shortcut to the top.

HIS MOTHER HAVE ENCOURAGED HIM INTO CRICKET HEAVEN.EVEN WITH HELP HAND OF HIS FATHER HE HAS BEEN A AMAZING CRICKETER.
