After the 1st World War there was extensive need for iron and steel. They were required to make weapons such as cannons and guns. Also all countries became weak and required iron and steel.
They needed textile bcz there were many people who died and needed clothes bcz everything was destroyed.

By 1914, the situation was changed when first world war broke out.Steel produced in England had meet the war needs in europe.so imports of British steel declined rapidly and Indian railway turned to T I S C O .
