It affected the life of foresters and pastoralists as under this act all the economically beneficial forests like forests of trees like sal and rosewood etc. were stated as 'protected forests'.Whereas other forests were titled as 'Reserved Forests' and pastoralists must have a special entry card to enter these forests.
So,this prevented the movement of the pastoralists in search of fodder for their cattle and reduced the fodder area for their cattle. This resulted in the deaths of the cattle as no fodder was available to them.

The Forest Acts created many problems for the villagers. Their daily practices cutting wood for their houses, hunting, fishing and collecting fruits now became illegal. (ii) People were forced to steal wood from the forests and if caught, were at the mercy of the forest guards.
