The measures of the act 1956 introduced by sinhales govt. made the sri Lankan Tamils feel alienated .

1 . they felt that one of the major political parties led by the buddhist Sinhalese were sensitive only to their culture and language .

2. they also felt that the constitutions and govt. policies denied them equal political right .

3.thus , they realised that govt. has discriminate against getting them in other jobs and other opportunities bn by ignoring their interest .

4. As a rest ,the realisation between the Sinhalese and Tamil communities strained over time.
