the three main reasons for why the author's grandmother was disturbed when he started going to the school are written below:
1 she couldn't teach him as the author was being taught English lessons, law of gravitation of which all grandmother was unaware.
2 she did not like the idea of learning music in the school as she considered that it was the work of prostitutes.
3 she could no more go to leave the author in the school as he used to go by a motor bus in the school..
i think these are the easiest once and also easy to remember hope useful!

➡This is based on the chapter " The portrait of a lady " by " khushwant singh " .

↔When the author along with his grandmother shifted to the city on the call of the authors parents , the author began attending a village school .

When he told his grandmother that music lessons were being given in the school , she felt highly disappointed . This was because according to her , music had lewd associations . It was a monopoly of beggars and not meant for gentle folk . so she was completely against this motion.
