The swelling of guard cells due to absorption of water causes opening of stomatal pores while
shrinking of guard cell closes the pores. Opening and closing of stomata occur due to turgor changes
in guard cells. When guard cells are turgid, stomatal pores is open while in flaccid conditions the
stomatal aperture closes.
hope it helps:)

Answer:
Stomatal pores in plants regulate the amount of water and solutes within them by opening and closing theirguard cells using osmotic pressure. In order for plants to produce energy and maintain cellular function, their cellsundergo the highly intricate process of photosynthesis. Critical in this process is the stoma.
