How did the guru and his disciple help the people of the kingdom of fools so that their kingdomain become like any other place ?

The kind is supposed to kill the guru and the disciple but the guru and disciple started fighting on who should be killed first then the guru said kill me first because I know in future the person who is been killed will be the king of this place. So the king decided to kill them later at night the king and his minister go to the jail where the guru and disciple are putted. King said that I want to be the future king so please can I go in your place so the guru agreed by doing this the guru saved both his and his disciples life but also people of that place. Later the people said the guru to become the king and guru agreed to become the king.
