Answer :
Oscar Wilde was one of the greatest writers to pen down for children. In The Happy Prince, Happy Prince was the statue of a prince who lived in the palace of Sans-Souci and was admired as Happy Prince as he knew nothing but being happy.
The Happy Prince commanded the little swallow to bring the large red ruby out of his sword-hilt and give it to the seamstress whose son was suffering from fever and was asking for oranges; so did the Swallow.
The young man in the student's garet was feeling too cold and hungry for he couldn't buy firewood and food. The swallow plucked out one bright sapphire and flew to that young man as commanded by the Happy Prince.
The little Swallow flew to the little match-girl who lost matches in the gutter, and slipped the other bright sapphire which was the remaining eye of the Happy Prince, into her palms.
The city was full of many poor children and beggars. The Swallow picked off leaf after leaf of the fine gold from the cover of the Happy Prince and passed them to those poors.
The whole town enjoyed a beautiful winter with silvery streets of snow and with happiness in the air.
