To compensate for his lifelong ignorance of his people suffering the Happy prince did what he still could to recognize and listen their miseries. He started by asking the swallow to take the ruby from his sword hilt to a seamstress who needed oranges for her sick son. He then gave up each of sapphire eyes to help 2 people obtain relief from cold.

Answer:

Hi

Here is your answer mate

When the prince was alive he lived in a palace where there was no sadness.

Now he was dead and his statue stood high above the city. His heart felt the pain of

his people. He could see all the unhappiness of his city. The ugliness and misery of

the city made the Happy prince realize about his suffering people.
