1)A Democratic Constitution is oneWherein the state is secular and the government is elected by the people. India also adopted a strategy of separating the power of religion and the power of statelike other Democratic countries.
2)Secularism refers to this separation of religion from the state. A secular state allows individuals the freedom to live bytheir religious beliefs and practices.
3)Our Country , India, is a secular state. It is a land of many religions where people belongs to different faiths - Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs , Christians and other live together in peace and harmony.

The constitution makes India secular as=
•it forbids any external force to deal with indigenous religions
•it gives right to every citizen of India to change his or her religion
•it prevents any discrimination on basis of religion
