British society was impacted by the Industrial Revolution by a restructuring of that society. Previously society had been divided into the nobility and peasantry with a small middle class being part of the latter. With the Industrial Revolution, a new class, the "working class" was created.

Answer: Small scale production ,which was literally 'cottage industry ' changed into huge factories totally changing the way of life of the people of Britain.

Explanation:

Before the revolution , textile production , for example,  took place in small workshops if not at spinners' , weavers' and/or dyer's houses. These small 'home industries' were in their thousands , till the invent of machinery and strategies that improved as the century unfolded , into huge factories.

As the machines became more efficient and labor was demanded ,industries grew and more machinery inventions came in different industries which included steam and mining.

The growth affected other sectors like transport as well. The high production of goods, their demand and movement became a challenge leading to the establishment of the transport network.

Industrialization therefore  changed the social , demographics , geo-political as well as  the economic environment of Britain.
