How did the introduce of threshing machine improve agriculture?

threshing machine was first invented by a scottish mechanical engineer,andrew meikle in 1784 for separating grains from stalks and husks for thousands of years previously grains were separated by hands with flails which was time consuming. so this mechanization took much of the drudgery out of farm labour.
