HELLO FRIEND HERE IS YOUR ANSWER,,,,,,
Invasion of Timur was indeed proven disastrous for the Delhi Sultanate Nasir-ud-din Mahmud Tughlaq.
It all started by Timur, the one who founded Dynasty of Timurid. He aimed for Indian assets due to its large wealth collection and richness, to surpass all others and form a war or "holy war" against the infidelities done to them. His prime motive was to make most of the Hindu followers by destruction of Holy temples and making all the people to follow the Islamic Traditions and be permanent followers of Islam.
Delhi Sultanate Nasir-ud-din Mahmud Tughlaq cannot do anything to stop and provide a counter-attack including a huge resistance to defeat this great conqueror, hence, he was easily defeated and surrendered his Dynasty to Timur by destroying the whole city of Delhi and making the people of Delhi killed, imprisoned and working as slaves.
