How did the Invisible Man get injured?

\huge\mathbb\color{blue}AnsWeR :

H. G. Wells' The Invisible Man describes the journey of Griffin, the titular character, towards invisibility, and his actions after it. Through his own behaviour, compounded by his invisibility, the Invisible Man is mobbed and attacked multiple times. However, he seems to have gotten injured only once. The second time that he is significantly injured leads to his death.

He is first attacked by the villagers of Iping but he seems to have escaped without injury. The second time, he attacks the villagers and seems to cause harm rather than be harmed. The third time, he is attacked by the people in a pub called The Jolly Cricketers. It is there that he is shot at and actually injured. Though this seems to be a scratch, he does bleed. Thus, he is clearly injured. Finally, he is attacked by the villagers of Burdock and this attack leads to his death.
