Tsar Nicholas II was an aristocratic leader of Russian empire. he ruled Russia with huge army and bureacracy. Russia's economy suffered a lot by WW1 .
many soldiers and civilians lost there lives. food was supplied to the war front during the war. this lead to shortage of food in Russia . on 8th march 1917 the civilians, at St Peterburg , took out a procession demanding for peace and bread. many people joined the protest. Tsar was upset and ordered his army to suppress the civilians. but instead the army protested against him. the situation turned worst and tsar left the throne. the non-aristocratic russians made made a provisional government. this was the first russian revolution.
