iqtadars spend the collected land revenue due to the state . out of the land revenue thus collected, the iqtadar met the cost of administration . he was allowed a part of the income for his own use . he sent the balance, if any ,to the state treasury. there were three important taxes__first, on cultivation called 'kharaj' (half of the produce), second, on cattle and third on houses
