how did the kingdom of Ahom establish?

The Ahom kingdom was established in 1228 when the first Ahom king Sukaphaa came from Mong Mao and entered the Brahmaputra valley, crossing the rugged Patkai mountain range.
The people that took to the Ahom way of life and polity wereincorporated into their fold in a process of Ahomization.

The Ahoms established the Ahom kingdom in parts of present day Assam and ruled it for nearly 600 years.
